ME Awareness 2016 and fundraiser success!

It's quite a while since I've written a blog post as it was my birthday then my fundraiser so it's all been a bit manic.

I want to talk about M.E Awareness day and how proud I am of myself and Team Princess for what we achieved.

M.E Awareness day/week/month is always emotional. It's exhausting when you try to do your bit to raise awareness of this truly awful condition but when you decide to fundraise too (crazy some may say!) you know you are going to be as pooped as a pooped thing for a good while after.

Considering it was my birthday 3 days before Awareness day - the day Team Princess was doing our thing - I was already slightly wiped out before we'd even started! However, it is obviously something very important to me. I had written a status to warn people I would be posting lots on the day but to be honest if they didn't like it then tough! People who know me and know what my life is like support me (or so you would think!) so that was my thinking. Plus I would be raising as much money and awareness as I could. How can that ever be a bad thing?

The charity I chose to support is such a fantastic one so I wanted to push it as much as possible. Smile for ME, if you haven't read my previous post, send parcels of gifts to M.E sufferers and carers who have been nominated by friends or family. It is run by 2 girls who are both M.E sufferers and they rely on donations. Random acts of Kindness are a big part of my life and I love sending stuff to people, so I wanted to raise as much as I could for them to enable them to send lots of Smile parcels.

Before the event had even started I'd somehow managed to raise a big chunk of money and I very kindly received a large donation on my birthday which took me to my £300 target. It gave me a massive boost but then I panicked I wouldn't raise much more!!

My first post of the day was very personal and stated my reasons for joining Team Princess. I will share a copy of it below for you to read.  I had a lot of comments and likes, which to me was as important as raising money as it meant people had (hopefully) read what I had written.

I posted various pictures throughout the day across my social media and I couldn't keep up with the notifications of donations at one point. I was a bit overwhelmed and every single pound donated, as well as every comment or message, meant so much to me. As always, there was a bit of disappointment from some but on the whole I was blown away with people's generosity and kindness.

When my little girl came home from school she got dressed as a Princess too and we had some photos together. She loved it!

I was absolutely exhausted by evening but I was buzzing too so took a while to be able to wind down.

I also ran an auction the following weekend with prizes that had been donated by some of my favourite independent businesses. That went really well too. I really am grateful for everyone's support.

The total raised was £879.88 including gift aid. Amazing! I received some messages from Smile for ME which made my heart so happy. Knowing how much the money was going to make a real difference made me feel so fuzzy and it's the reason I pushed so much for donations. Every single person who donated I want you to know that you really have made a difference. You have helped towards putting a huge smile on a very deserving person's face. I appreciate it so much.

Team Princess managed to raise £3436.95 for various M.E charities so I couldn't be prouder. I'd like to also thank our Queenie Sian for organising everything so well and for all the support. We couldn't do it without her!

I can't stress enough what a brilliant thing it is that Smile for ME do. M.E is very isolating so receiving a parcel literally does make a huge difference to people's lives. If you wanted to make a donation to them, you can do here here.

Thank you to everyone who is there for me, who continue to support me and for all your kindness with my fundraiser. If I could give you all a big sparkly hug I would do!

Auction for my fundraiser for Smile for ME

As you will know if you read my blog, I'm fundraising for the charity Smile for ME and here is my previous post with all the details.

I decided I wanted to also hold a little auction to try and raise some extra money for them, so I contacted some of my favourite businesses and I have very kindly had some brilliant prizes donated.

I will be holding the auction on my Facebook page which will start at 9am on Saturday 14th May and will end at 9pm on Sunday 15th May 2016. Bids will be accepted at any time between those hours. I will contact the winner once the auction has ended and will arrange delivery of the items as some I am sending myself but others will be sent direct from the businesses. I will post Terms & Conditions at the bottom of this post.

The following is a description of the items with a link to the lovely places who have donated them.

1) Sausage dog print scarf from Lisa Angel.

A large ladies' lightweight fashion scarf with a repeated dachshund dog design. It is black & white print over a salmon pink background and made from 100% polyester.

2) Acrylic pins and necklace from Punkypins

You are Magical, Be Yourself and Feminist acrylic pins plus red Where Fourheart Thou necklace.

3) Voucher from Crown and Glory

This is a very special voucher as whatever the winning bid, Crown and Glory will double up on the value of it. So for example, if the winning bid is £50 the prize will be a £100 voucher! There is a whole load of stuff to choose from on the website so have a browse and I'm sure you'll see lots you like. Crown and Glory will send the voucher to the winning bidder. I have selected a few pictures from their website as examples of some of what you can buy from them.

4) Unicorn Magnet from AnnieANDBlanche

A handmade rainbow felt unicorn magnet lovingly made especially for the auction, complete with sparkly unicorn horn. It has been made using soft wool felt and embroidery thread.

5) Personalised mug from Jilly Jilly
A ceramic mug from the new Mix and Match collection which has just been launched. The winner can choose which design and name to be on the mug. You can see some of the other options here. Jilly Jilly will be sending the mug direct to the winning bidder (their packaging is beautiful!).

I have my own mug from the new range and it's really gorgeous.

6) Box of goodies from Lucky Dip Club.
Some of you may know I subscribe to Lucky Dip Club which is a monthly box of goodies. They collaborate with various artists & illustrators and there is a mix of stuff in the box that you will be bidding on.

A copy of Girl Planet which is a zine they publish each month, Mel Stringer I Donut Care print and patch, Good Morning print by Belsartworld, mini cards by Emma Margaret Illustration, Girls glitter banner by All Her Glory designs, strawbunny pin by Ponypeople, Lucky Dip Club Girl Gang pins, mini motivational pocket cards, BFF keyring kit by Samantha Eynon, mermaid notebook, Lucky Dip Club weekly planner. Wowzers!

A closer look at what's there!

I really hope you see some items you like and hopefully will see you at the auction over the weekend!

Team Princess fundraiser 2016

The time has come again for us to become Princesses on M.E Awareness day! For those of you unfamiliar with what Team Princess is, we are a group of sufferers who become Princesses for a day to raise awareness and money for M.E charities.  We have raised over £10,000 so far for UK & Australian charities and have funded research and drug trials as well as supporting various services the charities have to offer people.

Me and my mini Princess last year

Our founder and official Queenie Sian, who blogs over at Me, myself and M.E came up with the idea a few years ago. She wanted to raise awareness as well as fundraise but she also wanted to celebrate some of the people who display different qualities which in her eyes make them true Princesses. Being brave, strong and having courage to name a few. For being there for each other despite all suffering. Spoonie sisters we like to refer to it as.

Sian has written a very informative blog post with all the information and details of how to join Team Princess which you can find here.

This year, despite my illness and all it brings, I decided I wanted to try to be more positive. I have surprised myself with how I've managed and every night I have written something good from the day in a diary. It has made me realise that even on the worst days, for whatever reason, there is still always something good no matter how small. Which kind of leads me into the charity I have chosen to support this year...

Those of you who know me will know how much I love a Random Act of Kindness (RAOK)! I really enjoy sending people things and knowing it has made them smile is the nicest feeling.

So, I am excited to announce that the charity I am hoping to raise lots of money for is Smile for ME. It is a fantastic charity run by two lovely ladies, Alice and Gracey, who are both poorly themselves. They send personalised presents to sufferers or carers who have been nominated by someone for a smile. I have nominated friends through them previously and all I'll say is that it was emotional when they received their parcels!

M.E can be a very isolating and debilitating illness so to receive something lovely and unexpected can make a huge difference and give you a massive boost. I would love to be able to raise enough money to send lots and lots of Smile packages! If you wanted to nominate someone you can complete the nomination form.

Of course on May 12th I will be dressing as a Princess so will be sharing photos and information on my social media. However if you want to donate now, my fundraising page is HERE!

I have a Facebook page for my blog here which if you follow you will be able to keep up to date with stuff. I will also be holding an auction on or around the day and have some fab prizes which have kindly been donated by some of my favourite independent businesses. I will provide details shortly! The Team Princess Facebook page will have lots of information about the event so please give us a like to be kept in the loop. The team JustGiving page is here.

I have had a lot of amazing support in the previous two years so I am really excited about this one! Thank you in advance for donating and supporting me. This illness is really difficult to live with so if I can help make fellow sufferers smile then I'll be happy.

For more information about what M.E is and how it affects me, please see some of my previous posts What is M.E?, Diagnosis & remembering life before M.E, (In)visible, A day in the life of ME!

Thank you for getting to the end as I know it's a long one!

M.E Awareness day 2015 & Team Princess fundraiser

M.E Awareness week is now over but I want to talk about what we achieved as sufferers as it's quite a big deal. May 12th was our Team Princess fundraiser, on international M.E Awareness day.

I am so proud of everyone who raised awareness by talking about it, posting pictures, sharing stories, raising money or generally just being awesome as there are a lot of pretty amazing people in the M.E community.

So our fundraiser, as you will know if you read my blog, was where a group of us sufferers became Princesses for the day. Due to us being poorly & unable to do any typical physical fundraising stuff, last year our lovely Queen Sian came up with the idea so this was the second year of it happening. A lot of time effort & (non existent!) energy went into the planning & Sian really deserves a medal for all her hard work. We all massively appreciate everything she did to make the event a success.

My day didn't start so well as my mini Princess wasn't well so had to stay off school. She had a poorly tummy & was flaked out on the sofa. My original plan was therefore not going to happen! I had luckily had some pictures done the previous day so I could try to pace a bit on the day. Everyone had been wondering what my outfit was for ages so I could finally reveal that (surprise surprise with a Frozen loving child) I was to become Princess Anna!

My sister does childrens' parties & has the costume already so she kindly lent it to me! I have to admit I did really like it (probably because it's blue!) & I've had so many compliments about how much the hair suited me which is quite funny. I accessorised with some Crown & Glory. Naturally.

When you are poorly & have a very low supply of energy it's really difficult to be online for any length of time at once. However the aim of the game was to raise awareness as well as money, so that's what I did. Flooded social media with pictures & the link to my JustGiving. Which totally wore me out but it needed doing.

I had already received lots of donations before the day itself but I got lots of others on the day too. I am extremely grateful to everyone who supported me. I am a little disappointed in some people but won't dwell on that & instead shall say that the people who did donate really have made a difference. They showed they care. They read my story. They understood why it was so important to me. That I want to try to remain positive that some day a cure will be found for M.E.  That I would do anything to give my daughter a mummy who isn't poorly. And every person who did donate made me feel like I matter. I will keep fighting because the government doesn't put much into M.E research so if sufferers don't raise funds too then who else will do it for us?

Anyway Anna was not the only Frozen costume that I had been hiding. Yep that's right... Elsa made an appearance too!

I can safely say that blonde does not suit me & that I didn't get complimented on it!!

My mini Princess had perked up a bit by the afternoon so I asked her if she wanted to dress up for 5 minutes. Luckily she said yes. And this was the result... mini Anna!

The next pictures I absolutely love but they make me feel really emotional at the same time.

I love my girl so much & I will always cling on to hope that I might get better in the future. Who knows what will happen but what I do know is that the money we have raised will make a start. I managed to raise £746.25 including gift aid for ME Research UK and as a team we have to date managed to raise a whopping £5858.28 for every single registered M.E charity in the UK & 1 in Australia. Not bad for a bunch of poorly people hey!

If anyone that hasn't already wants to donate, my JustGiving is still open but not for long. You can donate by texting AMLC99 £2, £3, £5, £10 etc to 70070 or you can visit my page at www.justgiving.com/princessali

We also held an auction in the evening & the items I had made managed to raise a bit of money for Smile for ME so that was an extra bit of happiness to end the day.

It has taken a while for me to get over the event, it totally wiped me out, but I am proud & so glad I did it.

Lots of love & huge hugs to all my supporters (!) & everyone who is affected by M.E in some way. And to my fellow Princesses (& Queen) you are all amazing :-)

1 weekend, 2 perspectives

Myself & Sian from ME, Myself and M.E thought for our awareness post we would blog about our weekend meet up a few weeks back. Myself & Sian both have M.E, Myalgic Encaphalomyelitis, and are severely affected. We decided to meet up half way which is an hour's travel for both of us. By documenting our weekend & sharing it from both of our perspectives we wanted to show how even though we both have the same illness & the same amount of travelling to do, how differently we experienced the weekend. And to show how varied the symptoms we get are. This blog post is part of Sally's #may12thblogbomb. You can read plenty more awareness posts on her blog sallyjustme.blogspot.co.uk

***************

Meeting up with spoonie friends is always lovely but it's also always challenging as there is no guarantee we will feel up to it on the day. M.E is very good at ruining plans & messing things up last minute.

Sian & I had arranged to get together & meet up halfway between where we both live. We booked the hotel a few weeks before & although it was more expensive, we chose the option to be able to cancel if we needed. If we had booked the room that couldn't be cancelled, chances are we would have had to & lost our money! I always opt for Premier Inns if possible as they are really good despite being fairly basic. Familiarity always helps with illness I find. I have always had good experience with Premier Inn & the beds are super comfy too.

We booked one night for the Saturday so on the Friday I packed my bag with some stuff & tried to rest as much as possible & again in the morning. We were planning on setting off about 12pm & had planned to have lunch at my uncle & auntie's house as they live 5 minutes from the hotel. We went the usual way but found that the road we take to get on to the motorway was closed, so we had to do a big detour which added on a bit of extra time to the journey. I get so uncomfortable travelling & my back starts hurting really quickly so I try to put something at the bottom of my back for a bit of support. I also feel a bit car sick so it isn't ideal but the car is the easist way of travelling for us. My daughter was really good & was occupied with some activity things so I was able to close my eyes (obviously I wasn't driving!) & put my ear plugs in.

We arrived at my uncles a bit after 1pm & I had intended on resting when we got there but due to arriving later than planned we were starving! So we had lunch & then I went to lay down. However because I had done a fair bit, I was already flagging so resting didn't help much. The best thing to do with M.E is to rest before you feel like you have burnt out but that's not always easy to do.

I had got a text from Sian in the morning saying she wasn't good & was getting some sleep so when I heard from her again while I was resting & she said she still wasn't good, I felt really worried for her & didn't know if she would be able to make it. She messaged me again after a while saying they were going to set off in a bit. Had she not be able to come, I'd of course have been a bit sad about not seeing her but would have totally understood as unpredictability is one of the things about M.E & you get used to it. Luckily though she was on her way!

When we arrived at the hotel it was around 3pm. The staff were really friendly & the receptionist was quite a joker. He had a laugh with my daughter which was quite amusing! I had telephoned a few days earlier to request a room close to the entrance as I always find it easier being near, not that it makes much difference as I still can't really walk. We went to the room & I had a lay down. On the comfiest bed ever! I had hoped I would have a snooze but I didn't. Sleep does not come easily to me.

My husband took my little girl to the park to let her burn off some energy! I was feeling a bit worried about Sian but then an hour or so later I heard my daughter's voice & she came bursting in saying she'd seen Sian! Who she adores. Yay!!

When she got to her room she sent me a message so we went up for hugs! It always feels so relaxed when we meet up. She was with her parents who are also lovely. I had bought presents (& Tunnocks teacakes!) & Sian had brought me my birthday presents so I was allowed to open them early! I was spoilt & my little Miss also got some stuff so it was really nice. Sian showed us how to make barefoot sandals as I really wanted to learn & she is rather skilled at beading! I was relying on my daughter remembering how to do it as my memory isn't the best.

It was suddenlty around 6pm & we thought we better go for some dinner.  There was a TGI Friday next to the hotel so we headed over. It was unexpectedly busy & really noisy. A lot of M.E sufferers experience sensory overload with lights & sounds so it was a bit stressful. We were given a table in the corner so although it was really loud, it didn't seem quite as bad than had we been in the middle. I tried to forget about the noise & focused on the menu!! We had been saying about getting a cocktail during the previous week but in truth if we'd had one we would have regretted it. I developed intolerance to alcohol when my M.E started & I get palpitations after I've had it. Plus it would have gone straight to my head!! Sian's mum did in fact get one though so we posed for a picture with it.

Sian & I decided to share a platter & it was yummy. Until I found a hair in my potato skin! It's a good job I was stuffed on breaded mozarella sticks already. I always seem to find stuff in my food hmmmm.. I did mention it to them as they cleared up our plates & they were lovely. They actually knocked the cost of the platter from the bill!!

I realised how tired I felt & it was also way past my daughter's bedtime. She was starting to act silly so it was time to go. We went back to the room & I plugged in my electric heat pad, which I take everywhere with me now! The plug socket isn't next to the bed though which is a bit annoying but it just about reached. Charging phones is a pain as you can't use it while it is charging & need to get up once it has finished haha. Sian had thought ahead & brought an extension lead so I need to remember for next time.

Finally my daughter went to sleep & I had planned on watching something with Premier Inn's free WiFi but it was so slow that I would have needed to upgrade so I decided to try to sleep instead. Hubby fell asleep too, people who can sleep so easily annoy me!! I went to the loo before bed & the light suddenly went off. So I was stranded in darkness. Fun! Found my way back & took some painkillers (using my phone light as it was now slightly charged!). My ears were ringing loads which I get a lot anyway but it is enhanced when I've had sound overload.

I didn't sleep great & then woke up (early) when I was sleeptalking & my daughter thought I was talking to her so I woke up when I heard her saying "mummy??"! I felt really really poorly with the M.E. I took some painkillers & tried to nod back off but I couldn't. I was extremely fatigued & aching badly everywhere. I got quite upset & felt sick as I felt so rough. I didn't think I would make it to breakfast & told them to go without me. But then after having a cry & taking different painkillers I decided to go as I was starving. Managed to climb into my wheelchair but I felt really spaced out & basically just rubbish.

We got a table & I didn't feel able to get up so they got me some food & a drink. I hate feeling useless but at least I had made it down there. Once the meds kicked in a bit & I had eaten I started feeling slightly better. Only slightly though! I managed to get up for some fruit & then saw Sian had come in so they sat at the table next to us.

Sian hadn't slept much & I could see she didn't look good. We were chatting & then she came over really poorly. She needed to leave & I felt so upset that by us getting together, when she hadn't been good in the first place, it had made her feel so poorly. It wipes us out so much doing the most basic of stuff & I'm not sure if I looked as bad as I felt but to say M.E is an invisible illness, it really isn't that invisible.

We went back to the room so I could lay down & I had a message from Sian saying they were leaving so they came to say goodbye. I rested a little while before we left but I felt so poorly & knowing we had to travel back when I felt so bad was stressing me out. I felt so ill & in so much pain whilst we were in the car & even though it was less than an hour's journey it seemed to take forever.

When we got back I went to bed & I was so cold I had to layer up. My body seems to go into shock a bit when the M.E is so bad but I fell asleep & slept for 2 hours. I felt horrendous when I woke up & I was sweating due to having so many layers on!! I started getting really upset & I find when I get like that, everything becomes massively exaggerated so all the stuff that was on my mind became about a thousand times more of a problem. I had a big rant & had to just stay in bed. I hate it when I feel like that. And knowing I felt like it from doing something so nice & so "normal" to other people makes it really difficult to cope with. However I would rather feel like that as a result of doing something good &  it was definitely worth it.

We were lucky enough enough to be able to get together despite it impacting massively on our health afterwards. But had we felt like we do on our worse days we likely wouldn't have been able to get out of bed in the first place. M.E is one evil illness.

Please see Sian's post here for her version of the weekend.

Fundraising towards finding a cure for M.E

Once upon a time I wasn't ill. I had a good job & a great social life. The end! And if I could write my story now it would be a fairytale with a happy ending. However, living with M.E changes everything.

Over 12 years of suffering with this incurable chronic illness means I am somewhat of an expert but you wouldn't think so if you saw me on the days when I am crying & saying how I can't cope with it anymore. No matter how long it goes on it never gets easier. Ever. It probably gets worse as the light at the end of the tunnel gets further & further away.

Every year I am still ill makes me feel a little less optimistic about ever getting better. However I can't lose hope. And the more research that takes place, the closer they are to finding a cure. Which is why on 12th May, M.E Awareness day, a group of us sufferers are taking part in a fundraising event. We have come together to form Team Princess - see my previous post here about it.

We are all raising money for different M.E charities & I have chosen to support ME Research UK. Research is vital towards finding a cure & without funding it won't happen. So I am trying to raise as much money as possible. As I write this, I have exceeded £200 & I am very grateful to everyone who has donated so far.

With less than 3 weeks to go until the event I would love to massively exceed that amount & I cannot do that without the support of people. People who know me or may know someone who suffers from M.E & knows the devastating effects of the illness. People who know how difficult it is for me being a mummy with M.E. People who know how I used to be before I got ill & how much my life changed as a result. People who want to help make a difference. To help support a great charity & give people like me a chance of a cure being found.

It is my birthday a few days before Awareness day & I always get emotional around then as it feels like another year has passed that I am still poorly. But I am going to stay positive & hope that I can manage to do a little bit of something on the day. If you fancy donating in lieu of a birthday card & some cake then I would appreciate it lots!

My JustGiving page is at www.justgiving.com/princessali or you can text AMLC99 £1, £3, £5, £10 etc to 70070.

On the day we are holding an auction on our Facebook page here. Some of the crafty members of Team Princess are making stuff & I will be making some bracelets. Any money raised I will be donating to Smile for ME, which is a brilliant charity who send sufferers gifts when they have been nominated by family or friends.

Thank you so much for reading & for your support.

Is M.E really such an invisible illness?

I have been having a really horrendous time the last week or so with my health. The after effects of my daughter's birthday & party well and truly kicked in. In the chronic illness world it is known as PEM (Post Exertional Malaise). I have felt like absolute rubbish but I have also looked like it. Which has got me thinking about whether invisible illness really is as invisible as the name suggests!

I am naturally slightly olive skinned but my face is always pale. Thank goodness for make up. On a normal day I don't look so good but on my "even worse than normal" days I look poorly. Really poorly. Pale (a nice shade of grey), drawn & just ill! My eyes are a big giveaway. Dark dark circles. People who know me know when I am worse than usual just by looking at me. So it's not really that invisible.

I only tend to go out when I am feeling up to it & I usually have make up on. Even if it's the very minimum, I feel (& look) slightly better with it on. So of course when people who don't really know me see me, they wouldn't necessarily know there is much wrong with me. So in that respect it is invisible. However the fact I am often in a wheelchair when I am out & about is a bit of a giveaway that there is something wrong. Although I imagine people may assume I have something wrong with my legs - which I do - but you wouldn't know it to look at me & unless I wore a badge saying I had M.E then people would have no way of knowing. Actually maybe I am onto something & I will start wearing such a badge!

Then you have the whole judging/ignorance thing. Like when someone as young (sort of) as me parks up in a disabled bay, despite having a blue badge which entitles me to park there, I get dirty looks galore & it's usually from the older generation! When the wheelchair appears I see their expression change & they often look at me with pity. It makes me want to shout at them & tell them to not be so ignorant. Which I may have been known to do but I can usually keep quiet these days. Usually!

Trying to raise awareness of M.E is so important to me. It's the reason I started this blog & I've had so much positive feedback from it which makes me happy.  M.E Awareness Day is on 12th May so I will be doing my bit to raise as much awareness & of course money towards research as possible! My previous post all about what we have planned for our fundraiser is here.

Last week when I was particularly bad for yet another day in a row, I had a bit of a blip & I started feeling like I couldn't cope living like this anymore. You can't imagine how it eats away at you. Changes everything. Ruins lives. But of course I have to carry on. I don't have a choice.

Finally, I want to share a picture that I have posted previously. The images are from the same day within a few hours of each other. PEM takes hold quickly when I've been out & the hours/days that follow are not pretty. I usually end up bedbound which is really hard to deal with. This was before & after I had been to watch my daughter's dance show. The day after was even worse!

Invisble? I'm not so sure.

Team Princess 2015

It's 12 years since I got my diagnosis of M.E. And yet here I am, still poorly. March 2003 will never be a particularly happy memory!

I have had a really bad week healthwise. My usual positivity wavered. There has been lots of tears & moments of despair. The knowledge that I have to keep going is almost torturous sometimes. I have to carry on living like this though because what other choice do I have? My daughter is almost 6 & she has never known her mummy to be well. Which breaks my heart but she keeps me going.

However, it is that time of year again. No, not Spring (although I am liking the sunshine!) ...Team Princess is back!!

It's getting close to M.E Awareness day on May 12th. Which means Team Princess AKA The Princesses and M.E rears its head again. Woo hoo! Last year was when our fantastic fundraising Team of Princesses (& 1 Queen), all of whom are sufferers, was born. See my previous posts about it all here & here.

Our fabulous Queen Sian, who came up with the idea, has done a really detailed blog post about it here. It gives all the information about this year's plans. We will be donning our costumes, tiaras or whatever else we fancy on May 12th & I have something fun in mind.

We raised over £4000 last year for the charity Invest in ME but this year it will be a bit different as we will be supporting more M.E charities both in the UK & other countries.

Last year was made all the more special by our very own Princess Allan who was such a good sport on the day & made a better Princess than all of us in his shocking pink wig! Very sadly, a few months later Allan passed away & it hit the online M.E community really hard. This year, in tribute to him, we will all be wearing or accessorizing with something pink on the day.

I will be setting a JustGiving page up shortly so will post more about that when it is done.  We had so much amazing support last year so I really hope we can again this year. As well as raising awareness, we aim to make as much money as possible towards funding vital research in finding a cure for this horrific condition.

If you have any questions or would like to join Team Princess then please let me know :-)
